Delonghi are a manufacturer of medium priced toasters. Priced between £40-70, Delonghi produce a range of feature packed toasters which promise ''essence of good design'.

The three main Delonghi models are as follows, descending in price.

Metropolis

Priced around £45, it designed with a 1950's style, has four slots and features a coolwall, frozen bread defrost, cycle stop function and keep warm function.

Icona

Priced around £60, the Icons aims to replicate Italian toasters of the 1950's. The majority of the casing is in a satin silver finish and chrome. A coolwall and a frozen bread defrosting function are the main features.

Argento

Priced around £65, and is sold with and without a chrome front panel. It's another feature rich offering from Delonghi, with a self-cleaning system, stop/cancel function, hi-rise facility and variable width slots.

The Company

The DeLonghi Group is a large Italian manufacturer of small appliances. The group is still based in Italy, in the city of Treviso, which is in the region Veneto, which is situated in northern Italy.

Delonghi were founded in 1902, but only by the later part of the twentieth century did they expand into making virtually every small kitchen appliance imaginable. Delonghi have a strong focus on stylish design, drawing strongly on the legacy of Italian design.
