Home > Reported Scams Through mail servicePosted on 22 / 05 / 2007
My boyfriend of 13 years just died, now I have to pay the rent by myself,
credit cards maxed out, phone calls from collection agencys driving me
crazy, my intire life falling apart. Then I get this letter in the mail,
with someone in the same position that i'm in who sent this letter to
200 people and in 90 days all their bills were paid and they were taking
a cruze around the world or something...Usually i'm not gullable, but
I figured what did I have to loose...so I spent about $50 bucks on a mailing
list, another $80 bucks on postage stamps, and yet another $35 bucks on
envelopes and copies of the letter, after following the details and adding
my name where it told me to. (The letter stated it was leagle because
everyone who would send me the $1 was to ask me to add them to my mailing
list, and the 6 people that I sent $1 to was asked that I be placed on
their mailing list). I did everything that the letter said to do, then
I waited...Nothing...I got some returned mail that was undeliverable,
but to this day i have not recieved 1 dime. I mailed the letters in Jan,
2007 it is now May 2007 and my situation has not changed, except that
$171.00 I spent on that scheme could have gone toward one of my credit
cards. I am sinking with no life raft. This was one of the most hurtfull
experiences I have had in a long time so be warned don't do it...don't
respond to these letters unless you want to have false hope of being rescued
from an empossible situation. But one thing it did do for me that was
possitive. It made me remember that God alone is my help. God alone makes
me prosperous, rich, and successful. I will stop trying to make myself
wealthy according to my own plans and schemes. I will trust God! I confess
my need for his help. I affirm that God alone will make me rich!-- User Name - M. D. Livingston
