They recently offered a free Ericsson phone when you sign up for
a new T-Mobile contract. I visited their local store and was soon
on the back foot as the customer assistant phoned around to see
if I was eligible for the offer, you see I was already an existing
T-mobile customer. To make things simple for me I required my new
number to placed on my existing account. This created quite a few
umsssss and arraaaaaas and I don't think that possible from the
assistant. I assured him it was so off he trotted to his manager
and another round of phone calls persisted. By this time I was checking
my watch, 40 minutes had passed and I was beginning to get stares
from other customers who wished to speak to an assistant. Eventually
after phoning the regional office it went ahead without a hitch,
or so I thought. They were out of stock of my phone so would need
to send it by post. This was a major inconvenience because I would
have to take a day off work to wait for a courier to deliver it,
I would have canceled the whole thing at this point but after 80
minutes of haggling with the assistant I'd feel a fool and fear
for the safety of my life if I didn't leave with a contract. I left
with only a sim card, and forced to ask for a day off work. All
in all I wished I hadn't bothered to visit them.
