Poor service, incorrect orders and untrained staff at Kettering
branch, sold unsuitable goods and no after sales service. Avoid!

Ordered JVC Music Centre at Evesham store on 30th Dec.Only demo
unit in stock, expecting delivery same day. Left name and telephone
number. Rang following morning at 11-0- "no delivery yet".
Left name and telphone number again. No phone call, so visited store
at 5pm. Told that delivery had been at 10am. Nobody had any record
of my name or telephone number. Staff didn't seem to care either.
Tempted to walk away, but decided I would be the loser. Asked for
discount for all the hassle but was told no way. Doubt if I will
go there again

Purchased an item on interest free for 6 months at the Llandudno
store, when the 6 months were up I asked for a bill only to be told
it had been put through as a straight credit agreement. Too late
to do anything was told I should have checked sooner. Store has
a don't care attitude. Will never shop there again.

An Audiostar Packard Bell mp4 player was purchased as a christmas
present. I travelled abroad over the christmas period and listen
to the mp4 on the way there. On christmas day, I switched on the
player in the hope of listening to it. I noticed a crack in the
screen. this unfortunately meant that the mp3 player would not work.
1. I can't believe that an mp3 player is so flakey that it can't
withstand being in a pocket 2. I have read in a woman's magazine
recently that it is a known fact that there is a design problem
with that particular model. This leads me to believe that Curry's
knowingly sold this product knowing that it had a design problem.
i will never ever ever spend a penny in Curry's for as long as I
live.

Bought a 42 inch plasma TV , 5 weeks later while we were watching
it , it gave off a buzzing noise and a crack appeared on the side
of the panel, i called currys , they picked up the TV. a week later
i got a letter from the engineer stating that the fault was due
to customer negligence and that this was not covered by the one
year waranty and it would cost me £2470!!! to repair, this
was a TV i bought for £1300 asked them how they came to that
conclusion as this TV had been in the same spot that it had been
when it had been delivered. I have called on many occassions to
speak to the so called Engineer to explain how he has come to that
conclusion , but to no avail, i might as well be speaking to the
wall for all the attention i get, i think Currys is the greatest
fraudulent company i have come across , one of the staff actually
, told me to claim it on my house insurance!!!!. How on earth can
Currys claim they are a reputable company when they sell me a 42
inch TV that last for only 5 weeks, for God sake . Anyway needless
to say . i would see them in court. A word of Advise - "You
are better off buying your electrical goods in the Open Market as
the risk of buying it there is minimal compared to the risk that
you take buying it from Currys"
