I recently acquired a new Nokia 6111 phone from dial-a-phone with
a pay as you go package. I had to order through the website because
there is no where local to pay and collect from. Low and behold
there was no ideal delivery time frames so I has to take an afternoon
off work to stay and wait for the delivery. Nothing arrived, it
took me over 20 minutes to speak to a customer services advisor
who informed me that the courier had made an error and returned
the phone as a duplicate order. I really could not understand the
explanation, but dial-a-phone promised they would send out another
phone.

They delayed my order for 2 weeks, I received the phone eventually
then a week later they informed me they were canceling my number.
Because of the delivery delays they said that officially the network
had listed the phone as missing. My sim card was deactivated, I
had to cancel direct debits, had to msg all my friends and family
about my new number cancellation, and finally of all I had to send
the phone back at my expense. I am going to find a Ombudsman
to complain to. This lack of service and expense is beyond what
is legal in my eyes.
