Only once did I pick a desktop PC, many a year ago when I was a
young pup of 17. I since learnt big savings can be made from every
other retailer that exists on God's green earth, except Currys,Dixons
who are the same group and like charging even more. But in my small
local town they are the only game in town, so if I am desperate
for something that single day, like a router wireless, printer cartridge
etc I have decided to pay that extra little bit. I know many people
hate PC World and no doubt complain about everything in sight. I
can't, nothing has been wrong with anything I've bought except the
purchase price. But what can you expect with the overheads such
a company much incorporate. They arent the big bad wolf's they are
made out to be. I even managed to totally screw up my first Acer
PC from them which has an amazing 166mhz processor and cost around
£1600, ah those were the days. I sheepishly went back a few
weeks later tail between legs, they fixed it free of charge without
issue.

I
don't know I am still waiting
Delivery,
customer service terrible
I ordered a new panasonic 42" plasma display from PCWorld/Currys
model suffix 600CAB. This was january 27th ot thereabouts AND THEY
STILL HAVE NOT DELIVERED IT. The first time they tried to fob me
off with an obsolete product a 60B. Then they completely forgot
about me. Despite lots of calls no-one knew anything. They all just
blamed each other. In the meantime the price has dropped significantly
AND to put the final boot in to me Currys have told me that "you
won't get that one mate-it's obsoleted". So now I have bought
aproduct that has never been delivered at a price well over the
top and before I get it I know it is already out of date- This is
real customer service! I now want to know what the replacement product
is, how much it costs and when they will deliver it to me. Ever?
What an organisation? Panasonic have been phoned but they did not
tell me anything so I am a customer (or am I) left in the lurch.
I bought this from carmarthen (yes that's wales) question: do you
think there is a link between incompetence, inefficiency and buying
in wales? I don't know but I do know I ain't got my telly.
