For those not in the know Waitrose are part of the John Lewis group.
I live in the North of England so had only heard of the Waitrose
supermarkets from the national newspapers, their headquarters are
in the South of England like most of their stores.
They have however just opened up in Sheffield and when shopping
in that city have visited Waitrose to pick up a few things for dinner,
the quality and pricing is similar to Marks & Spencer.
I am about 20 minutes from Sheffield, and when I order from Tesco
online they usually deliver from their Sheffield location.
I browsed to the grocery section of Waitrose, and it prompts you
to enter your full postcode to find out if you can shop online for
groceries from WaitroseDeliver.
I was out of luck because they did not support my location. I could
have alternatively, registered for WaitroseDeliver and order your
shopping and used their collection service.
This would require me to visit a local Waitrose branch offering
the service. I could still see how this would save time so ventured
to look at the branches supporting this service. Peterborough around
200-300 miles away was the closest branch, so on seconds thoughts
maybe this would not save me time.
Too expensive and exclusive a product range to do my weekly shop
from however. It's a shame I could not test the service.
Congrats on Waitrose for creating a lovely looking website.
