| The Adidas Beckenbauer shoe was named after - and endorsed - by legendary German footballer, Franz Beckenbauer. Nicknamed the "Der Kaiser", Beckenbauer is arguably Germany's finest ever footballer; he won the World Cup in 1974; and three European Cup's with Bayern Munich in the 1970s. The Adidas Beckanbauer features Adidas's classic trefoil design, and is somewhat reminiscent of their Samba trainer - the difference being that the Samba features a black synthetic leather, whereas the Beckenbauer is white.
