There has always been a selection of fragrances released by celebs, but the quality was rarely anything to write home about. However, in the current climate of 'ok' and 'hello' celeb mags, the cult of celebrity has reached a peak. With the likes of Peter Andre and Katie Price being able to make millions selling the rights to their wedding photos.

Therefore, it's a logical step for perfume houses to start releasing quality perfume that can cash in on this cult of celebrity. Below, you can find a selection of the most popular of these perfumes in 2008. On the whole, it's restricted to female celebrities, but a few men such as David Beckham have released their own fragrances.

Christina Aguilera

More of a cult figure in the US than the UK, nevertheless the perfume is packaged in an attractive box and bottle. Shaped to match the curvy and sexy figure of Chrsitina, the scent is spicy with an oriental floral note to it. The major ingredients are Tangerine, Jasmine, Plum, Musk, Amber, and Vanilla.

David Beckham

No list of celebrity endorsed products would be complete without an offering from David Beckham. Eau de Toilette spray bottle, which is aimed for us in the evening. Quite stylish, its a scent fruity and oriental tones, with ingredients like grapefruit, cardamom seeds and mandarin leaf.

Katie Price

A more traditional bottle in comparison to the Aguilera perfume. It does not quite have the wow factor. The scent is not outlandish, with typical floral and feminine notes. The major ingredients are Mandarin, Violet, Rose, Patchouli and Musk.

Kate Moss

An extremely plain and unremarkable bottle. However, it's stylish and simple lines do justice to the sleek and slender lines of a super model. The scent itself does not attempt to break any boundaries, another feminine and floral scent, which perhaps is more sophisticated then the above offering. The key ingredients are, Orange Blossom, Heliotrope, Peony, Vtiver, and Ambret Seeds.

Michael Jordan

Cheap and cheerful, and completely lacking the genius of it's name sake. A strong and spicy scent with ingredients like cedar, green tea and leather.
