| Posted - 26/10/10 There is usually a drawback to anything which is cheap. One of the popular Christmas or Birthday presents is aftershave. It is also a gift which is easily picked and purchased from the Internet. The shipping costs are also low. Many online fragrance retailers are offering discounts of up to 70%. You may wonder how this is possible. Well, it's usually because what they are selling is either a former instore tester, or is a grey import. An unused instore tester has a drawback, it will either come with an opened box or without a box. Or, if a box is supplied, it may not be the original box designed by the manufacturer. The other option is the grey import. So, what's the drawback with an import? Aftershave does not always come with a manufactured date. Therefore, you will not know how old the fragrance is, or the conditions in which it has been stored. While many testers and grey imports are a bargain, there is a slight risk involved. With well known retailers, such as Boots, you know you are buying the genuine article, which will come in A1 condition. With an online bargain, this may not be the case. And, if the purchase is a gift, it may not serve as a welcome one.
