Integrated Stand Alone CD Player

It is generally assumed that the only type of CD player is the integrated CD player, as highlighted by the picture above. This is not the case, manufacturers can separate the mechanics of an integrated CD player into two separate boxes, one that houses the DAC components, and the other that houses the playback components. An integrated CD player is, however, more convenient, as it saves on room space, requires just one power supply and plug, and, is, on the whole, the cheaper alternative. As you may have guessed, there is a price to be paid for this convenience; the integrated CD player is viewed as providing the inferior sound quality and balance. However, an integrated CD player will more than likely satisfy the needs of 99% of people looking to buy a new hi-fi system.
