The Reebok Classic is the companies most iconic trainer. The Classic came to prominence in the 1980s - when Paul Fireman, a sportswear distributor - negotiated a deal to begin selling Reebok sportswear in the USA and Canada. Reebok were founded in Bolton, England, by J.W. Foster and Sons: but, only came to global prominence after signing the deal with Paul Fireman. In the USA at least, Reebok marketed their Classic and Freestyle trainers at women and keep fit enthusiasts - specifically, aerobics. The Reebok Classic is renowned for it's comfort and ease of wear. During the 1980's, trainers such as the Freestyle were still being designed David Foster (son of the company founder) - present day, the company is owned by Adidas.
