| Below is a list of the major producer of coffee, categorised by country. Brazil - The largest producer, produce a third of all production, mostly of Arabica. Colombia - A smaller producer than Brazil, but noted for their high quality beans. Costa Rica - High quality beans, which needs to be blended to lower the caffeine content. Ecuador - Export wider variety of beans, Arabica natural / lavado, and Robusta. El Salvador - Noted for it's shade coffee plantations, competition has stunted production. Ethiopia - The top African producer, and overall, the 7th largest worldwide. Haiti - Grown in their mountain range, trade restrictions from the USA has hit their exports. India - A large producer of Robusta, demand is low in India, with production mostly exported. Indonesia - Arabica producer, low acidic beans, ideal for blending. Jamaica - Grown in the Blue Mountain, the beans are recommended for their mild quality. Kenya - The beans are grown on ideal grounds around Mount Kenya. Mexico - They focus on Arabica production, fifth biggest worldwide producer. Vietnam - Producer of West Highland Robusta, Chari / Excelsa and Catimor.
