They offer a good free web hosting service. They charge around
£18.99 to register a co.uk domain for 2 years, renewal the
same cost and you then get free email and hosting package for free.
This charge also features a no bandwidth limit, so if your site
becomes popular you have a cheap and reliable service for under
£10 a year. I have hosted 3-5 sites there and none have suffered
from long periods of off-line error status. They support php and
cgi scripts so you can implement some new scripts on your site,
a mysql database does cost extra however. Therefore if you want
to host a good forum package your out of luck. Basically you can
host a basic html site for minimal cost, but do not expect to host
an advanced database driven site. The only drawback is you need
to connect to Freeola's ISP service to upload any files. I use their
dialup service which costs 1p per minute in the evening so it's
not a costly business uploading new files. On the plus note there
is no limit on how much you can upload, and unlike with other free
hosting services Freeola do not load up advertising on your site.
Only if a user accesses a deleted page or file will a freeola advertising
page loadup. Overall it's the best free hosting service I have yet
to use. Full marks to Freeola.
