Software features and options of GPS products

Provided below are some atypical features of navigation software.

First time start up procedure.

Step 1: Press the power button.

Step 2: Choose a language.

Step 3: Choose the map for your region.

Step 4: Choose a female or male voice for cars hi-fi system.

Step 5: Choose kilometres or miles for the unit display.

Menu Options

- A selection of routes: including the fastest and shortest.

- Pick a route which avoids toll and congestion charges.

- Home address button, to find the quickest route home at the touch of a button.

- New address button, enter an address by postcode, county, city, town or village.

- Favourites button, a list of popular addresses visited.

- Recent addresses button, easily navigate to recent postcode searches.

- Places of interest button, displays airports, petrol stations, car parks, bank etc, close to your location.

3D Map Screen

- Top of the screen shows the next street on your route.

- Bottom of the screen shows the current street on your route.

- Top left hand box shows direction of the next turn, and the distance towards it.

- Yellow arrow shows the direction of the next turn.

- Blue arrow shows your exact location.

- Bottom right hand box shows your current speed. This box can also show your current time, battery status, estimated time of arrival, distance to go and current heading.
