Electric Shaver vs Razor and Creams/Foam

Electric

Pros
  • Less time to shave.
  • Once purchased, there is little in the way of further expenses.
  • Parts do not need to be replaced on a regular basis.
  • More mobile, you can shave on the move, in a car or a motorway service station.
  • Less chance of cutting yourself shaving.
Cons
  • They irritate sensitive skins.
  • Wireless rechargeable shavers are more expensive.
  • Cheap shavers require an electrical plugin to work, not ideal for a camping holiday.
  • A quality shaver can be expensive, much more than a quality razor.

Razor with Creams and Foam

Pros
  • Believed to produce a closer shave and a cleaner smoother feel.
  • Electrical shavers can irritate people's skin, whereas razors tend not to.
Cons
  • They can irritate and cut skin which is not smooth or is damaged.
  • Creams and foam can run out at inconvenient times.
  • Razor heads dull quickly and are expensive to replace.
  • The year long cost in cream, foam and razors is usually more than an electrical shaver.
